§ Chronology of Major Commissions

2010 :

 Designed the Beijing College coat of arms, a private English school located in Peking and belonging to The British Schools Group.
 Produced his first colour bookplate for Kaare Seeberg Sidselrud Chief redactor of Våpenbrevet, the review of the Norwegian heraldry society (Norsk Heraldisk Forening).

2009 :

 Drew Louis the XIVth symbols for the Editions du Gui. The drawing was then reproduced on rag paper and offered to the subscribers to the book Le Grand Trianon by Jérémie Benoît.

2008 :

 Designed coat of armsof the Caisse Nationale du Gendarme , a mutual insurance for the French gendarmes and soldiers, which was celebrating its 120th anniversary.
 Produced Michel Popoff, president of the Académie Internationale d’héraldique, second bookplate.
 Exhibition “Armoiries de grands hommes et lignages” February 13th till march 1st at Saint-Claude municipal library.

2007 :

 Designed his first coat of arms for a Chinese female citizen from Singapore.
 Article about his work published in “Burke’s Peerage Newsletter” March 2007.
 Article about his work published in issue 77 of “Våpenbrevet” the Norwegian Heraldry Society newsletter.
 Produced his first hand painted grant of arms for the Flemish Heraldic Authority (Vlaamse Heraldische Raad )

2006 :

 Selected with seven craftsmen of international reputation to attend the 27th International Congress of Genealogical and Heraldic Sciences held in St Andrew (Scotland) held from August 21st to August 26th. The guest were working in full view of the public on a project.
 His drawing of the Duke of Brittany coat of arms is published in the Flemish Journal “Heraldicum Disputationes”, 2nd quarter 2006.
 Selected by the Flemish Heraldic Authority (Vlaamse Heraldische Raad ) to become an official painter and produce the grants delivered in the name of Flemish autonomous government.

2005 :

 Designed two coat of arms for families represented in Charlotte de Turkheim Comedy “Les aristos”.
 He designs a proof of concept for Pope Benedict the XVIth coat of arms at the request of the head of the papal household.
 His drawing of the Duke of Brittany coat of arms is published in Kannadig, journal of the Brittany vexillological and heraldic society.

2004 :

 He created and designed Cardinal Barberin’s coat of arms. Cardinal Barbarin is Archbishop of Lyon.
 Some of his designs are presented in Honoré rottier and Marc Van de Cruys book, Wapens kennenen en herkennen published in 2004 in Louvain.
 He designed a scale model of the ring of the fisherman for Pope Benedict the XVIth at the request of Mgr Piero Martini Master of the liturgical celebration.
 A few of his designs are presented in the Journal of the New-Zealand branch of the The Heraldry Society (GB.).

2003 :

 All of his bookplates are published in Contemporary international ex-libris
artists by Artur Mário da Mota Miranda, Braga, Portugal 2003.
 His drawing “Les grands chevaux de lorraine” is published in Jacques-Charles
Gaffiot’s Book Lunéville, fastes du Versailles lorrain.
 His drawing are presented at Château de Vincennes. The exhibition is followed
by a discussion with Michel Pastoureau, Michel Popoff, Hervé Pinoteau, Edouard
Secretan about the possibility of designing a coat of arms for France today.
 A full page of his drawings of the family SECRETAN is published in Histoire
d’une famille lausannoise de 1400 à nos jours by Bernard Secrétan, Lausanne
 He takes part in the Brussels Heraldic arts exhibition, October 24th to 26th.

2002 :

 He takes parts in the exhibition l’Héraldique et les artistes d’aujourd’hui held at Seigniory d’Annevoie near Namur, Belgium from May 08th to 11th.
 He is on the front and back cover of the February 2002 issue “Revue lorraine
populaire”.
 He draws the arms of the Order of Malta for the Société de l’Histoire et du Patrimoine de l’Ordre de Malte.

2001 :

 He is admited as a member of the Maison des Artistes.
 His first website comes to life (it has been visited more than 160 000 times from 2001 to
 He provides 18 black and white drawings for Nicolas Vernot’s article “Les
allusions politiques dans les armoiries comtoises enregistrées dans l’armorial général de 1696 “ published in the 2001 issue of the Archives Héraldiques Suisses.
 He starts to work on the second part of the Armorial des Communes des Hautes-Alpes,
following in the footstep and completing the work of renowned French heraldic artist
Robert Louis.
 He designs the arms of Mgr Billé, Archbishop of Lyon.
 His design of Cardinal Billé’s coat of arms is published in Trésor inconnus du Vatican of Bernard Berthod and Pierre Blanchard, Paris 2001.

2000 :

 He plans and organizes an exhibition in Lyon about heraldic coins belonging to Lyon ’s councilmen (lent by the city Musée des Beaux-arts).
 He designed a bookplate for Michel Popoff, former curator the French National Library and secretary of the Académie Internationale d’Héraldique.
 Exhibited his work at SCRIPTURA, a fair dedicated to writing and writing implements.
 Participated and showed his works at the 24th Congrès International des Sciences Généalogiques et Héraldiques held in Besançon.

1999 :

 Exhibited his work at SCRIPTURA, a fair dedicated to writing and writing implements.
 He planned, organized and led a full day of visits and conferences for the Société Française d’Héraldique et de Sigillographie in June 1999
 The Direction des Affaire Culturelle de la Région Rhône-Alpes asked him to analyze and study the armorial frescoes in hôtel du Chamarier (a Renaissance building in the Old Town of Lyon)
 He presented his work at the VIe Salon du livre d’héraldique et de chevalerie at the museum of the Légion d’honneur.

1998 :

 An article is written about his work by Edouard Secretan, president of the Société Française d’Héraldique et de Sigillographie. See « Vers un nouveau style héraldique français » in « La Demeure Historique », July.
 He presented his work at the Ve Salon du livre d’héraldique et de chevalerie at the museum of the Légion d’honneur.

1997 :

 He designed the cipher of the Comtesse de Paris by request from her close friends.
 He wrote an article for « l’Ex-libris français » journal of the Association Française pour la Connaissance des Ex-Libris. Since then this journal regularly present the most recent bookplates of his design.
 He was an active part in a round table about today’s heraldry chaire by Dr Jean-Claude Loutsch, president of the Académie Internationale d’Héraldique, at the IVe Salon du livre d’héraldique et de chevalerie at the museum of the Légion d’honneur.

1996 :

 He presented his work at the IIIe Salon du livre d’héraldique et de chevalerie at the museum of the Légion d’honneur.

1995 :

 He Started to work as a professional heraldic artist.
