Most books available about French heraldry are in French but if you can muster the courage you will find the following books valuable. Some of them are available in English.

The French Heraldry and Sigillography Society gather university searchers, students, artists, passionate people etc. It was founded in 1937.

Its activity:

Monthly lectures in Paris made by its members. Annual study trip in France and in Europe. Publishing of: La revue française d’héraldique et de sigillographie (one issue per year, on subscription and in specialized bookshops).
Quarterly newsletter (paper or electronic).
